William Kentridge is one of the most important and celebrated artists in the world. His works have been exhibited at MoMA, New York, the Louvre, Paris, Tate Modern, London, and Metropolitan Museum of Art New York among others.
The show "Poems I Used to Know" comprises of large drawings done on Indian ink pieced together from multiple book pages, a film installation, a series of flip book films ,sculptures, etchings, photogravures and a large tapestry
The most substantial element of the exhibition is I am not me; the horse is not mine (2010) which is an installation of 8 projected film fragments which are based on the artist's production of the opera 'The Nose'.
I am not me, the horse is not mine' has been exhibited at major museums including Tate
Modern, MoMA New York, Sydney biennale and Moscow Biennale of Contemporary
Art.
